Are you ready? Let’s go!
Big Game Air’s inaugural weekend of same-day, round-trip flights features a pair of exciting college football matchups in two of the best venues in all of sports — the Big House in Ann Arbor and the Horseshoe in Columbus.
Whether you’re a Big Ten alum or a college football junkie, this week’s slate of games has something for you.
In Columbus, ESPN College GameDay will be live on site as traditional powerhouses No. 5 Oklahoma and No. 2 Ohio State square off under the lights. The Sooners and the Buckeyes both have playoff aspirations, but the winner of this high-profile non-conference game will certainly put itself in strong contention to be one of the last four teams standing at the end of the regular season. After a sluggish start in Week 1, Ohio State turned on the jets in the second half and looked in midseason form on its way to a 49-21 victory over Indiana. Urban Meyer also might have found his running back of the future in freshman J.K. Dobbins, who rushed for 181 yards in place of injured starter Mike Weber.
After beginning the season in Dallas with a dominating win over 17th-ranked Florida, No. 8 Michigan opens its 2017 home schedule by taking on Cincinnati in front of 110,000-plus Maize and Blue fans. It’s scary to think that the Wolverines’ defense could be better than a season ago after losing 10 starters, but Don Brown’s unit somehow looked faster and sharper than ever against the Gators. Michigan limited Florida to three offensive points and 154 total yards while notching six sacks and three takeaways. Impressive to say the least. Look for more pressure and tenacity in Week 2 as the Wolverines go up against a Cincinnati squad that had to fight off Austin Peay last week to win its season opener.
Big Game Air will be at the center of the college football universe this weekend, and as cliche as it sounds there is no place we would rather be.
